Osasco welcomes a three-metre Cat Zyon sculpture
The facts behind Cat Zyon's 2025 installation near Osasco City Hall and the city's metal bridge.

Osasco received a monumental Cat Zyon sculpture on 19 October 2025. Installed beside Viaduto Reinaldo de Oliveira, known locally as the metal bridge, the work stands near City Hall in a highly visible part of the city.
Scale in a busy urban setting
The fibreglass sculpture is three metres tall and weighs approximately 80 kilograms. Its rounded form and strong colours contrast with the infrastructure around it, allowing the fictional character created by Ramiro Silos to be recognised amid daily traffic and pedestrian movement.
This setting differs from Uberaba's Praça Pôr do Sol. The comparison shows why a public artwork cannot be understood only by its dimensions: circulation, architecture and local landmarks shape how people meet it.
A public inauguration
The inauguration included Osasco mayor Gerson Pessoa and public guests reported by local and project coverage, including actor Henri Castelli and animal advocate Luisa Mell. Their presence increased visibility, but the lasting value of the work depends on public access and the relationships developed around it.
Cat Zyon records named participation only when supported by sources. It does not turn attendance into an endorsement beyond what was documented.
Another city, not a copied chapter
Osasco became the project's second installed destination. The sculpture carries the same character, while its urban context creates a distinct encounter. Future cultural or social programming should be reported when confirmed, not assumed from the installation alone.
The Municipality of Osasco provides an official reference for the city event. Compare confirmed and proposed locations on Exhibitions, and read how monumental works move from drawing to three metres.
