Meet SUPRA, Cat Zyon's first beneficiary organisation
An introduction to SUPRA, the Uberaba animal-protection organisation linked to Cat Zyon's first local activation.

SUPRA — Sociedade Uberabense de Proteção aos Animais — is Cat Zyon's first confirmed beneficiary organisation. It is based in Uberaba, the city that received the project's first monumental sculpture.
A local organisation with a defined purpose
Uberaba Municipal Law 6,858 records SUPRA as a nonprofit organisation founded on 6 September 1996, with the purpose of protecting abandoned and mistreated animals. A municipal profile also describes veterinary assistance, shelter where capacity allows, and monitored adoption among its activities.
Those records help explain why local verification matters. Animal protection is continuous work carried out by organisations with practical knowledge of their territory. A public-art project can direct attention toward that work, but should not speak over it or exaggerate its own role.
What the Cat Zyon relationship means
SUPRA is identified as the beneficiary connected to the Uberaba activation. Cat Zyon does not currently claim a specific amount transferred or a measured change produced by the partnership, because no verified impact report supporting those claims is available.
This distinction is part of responsible communication. Naming a partner is not the same as proving an outcome. Future updates should include dates, mechanisms and documented results when those records exist.
Local links make the model meaningful
The first monument gave Uberaba a visible cultural landmark. Connecting that attention to an organisation from the same city aligns artistic presence with local responsibility. It also offers a practical reference for future destinations: identify credible partners before presenting social benefit as fact.
