Forty works, six weeks and free entry in Uberaba
Inside Cat Zyon's 2026 exhibition at Galeria Rachel Machado, with art, workshops and school visits.

From 20 July to 30 August 2026, Galeria Rachel Machado in Uberaba hosted a free Cat Zyon exhibition with approximately 40 works. The programme opened during the seventh Peirópolis Winter Festival and extended the character's presence beyond the city's outdoor monument.
More than a sequence of images
An exhibition allows visitors to see variations that a single public sculpture cannot contain. Different supports, colours and compositions reveal how Ramiro Silos develops Zyon while maintaining a recognisable visual identity.
Free entry was important because access is part of the project's public purpose. The gallery setting created time for a slower encounter, while the nearby monumental sculpture offered visibility in daily city life. Neither format replaces the other.
Learning through direct contact
The programme included workshops, live painting and guided visits for schools. These activities help audiences move from simply recognising a character to observing choices of line, scale, colour and material. They can also connect artistic attention with conversations about empathy and care.
Educational programming needs mediation and context. Cat Zyon therefore treats activities as part of the exhibition, not as decoration around it. The goal is to give children, families and educators useful starting points while respecting the expertise of schools and local partners.
A documented local chapter
The exhibition is a completed event, not an announcement of a permanent programme. Dates, venue and approximate number of works are recorded in local coverage, including reporting by Folha de Uberaba and Curtoo.
Future exhibitions will depend on confirmed venues, partners and public conditions. See current destination status on Exhibitions, or explore educational resources in the children's area.
